Hosted at the Northwest Career & Technical Center in St. Albans, this hands-on class offers participants the chance to learn foundational welding techniques in a supportive, creative environment. It’s an exciting opportunity for our builders to gain new skills, explore another side of craftsmanship, and continue growing their confidence in the trades.

Help shape the future of local news in Vermont! The Vermont Community Foundation is conducting a statewide project to understand how Vermonters get their local news and information, what’s working, and what’s missing.
Habitat for Aviation is partnering with VCF to host a listening session for our community. We invite you to join a 90-minute listening session where you’ll have the opportunity to share your experiences and ideas—what matters to you, what you rely on, and how local information could better serve you and your neighbors.

Women Can Do Conference
We’re excited to join Women Can Do on Thursday, October 9, 2025—a one-day trades and STEM career exploration conference designed for high school girls* across Vermont. At our booth, students will step into the world of aviation through hands-on activities that mirror real industry skills, from fabrication to learning what it takes to build and fly an airplane.
Our mission is simple: to show young women and gender-expansive youth that they belong in aviation. Whether as builders, maintainers, or pilots, we’re opening doors to career pathways where women have historically been underrepresented. Together, we’re building more than airplanes.
*Vermont Works for Women welcomes all who identify as girls, as well as non-binary and gender expansive youth who feel comfortable in a girl-centered space.

Join us for Young Eagles Day on June 21st from 10 AM – 3 PM at Franklin County State Airport. Youth ages 8–17 can take a free discovery flight with a licensed pilot. This event is hosted by EAA Chapter 613 with support from Habitat for Aviation and Fly Vermont.

Reckless Ideas is a free speaker series hosted by Generator, sparking conversations on innovation, creativity, and bold ideas. Habitat for Aviation Visits the VT Statehouse
The Habitat for Aviation Women Build Planes team will visit our Vermont State Capitol in Montpelier to gain insight into the workings of government and share our passion for aviation. Our visit will raise awareness about our Women Build Planes program, highlighting our mission to empower women and youth in aerospace through hands-on learning and mentorship.
