Sammie Is Becoming Known for What She Can Make

We recently learned from Sammie’s dad that her classmates have been so impressed by her welding skills that they have started asking her for commissions using the equipment in her dad’s shop. That kind of moment speaks volumes—Sammie has taken the skills she has been building and turned them into all sorts of creative new pieces, including houses and little people made from screws. It is wonderful to see her imagination and craftsmanship meeting in such a tangible way.

What moves us most is not only that Sammie is getting good at welding, but that others around her are beginning to see her differently because of her newfound passion. She is becoming known for what she can make with her hands—Sammie is an inspiration to her classmates and to all of us, and we cannot wait to see what she creates next.
