A Bright Night at the C.P. Smith STEM Fair

We had a wonderful time at the C.P. Smith Elementary School STEM Fair, joining a great group of exhibitors including Bowman Engineering, ChemCats from UVM, and dozens of elementary school exhibitors. Our Habitat for Aviation crew—Zoë, Louisa, Kayla, Tegan, and Anna—spent the evening sharing our love of aviation with curious young learners and their families.

At our tables, youth got to try their hands at some of the same kinds of skills we use in the hangar, including wire stripping, soldering, and heat shrink, as they created their own colorful aviation-inspired keychains. It was one of those joyful evenings full of questions, concentration, and proud little smiles when something finally came together in their little hands. We were grateful to be part of a night to celebrated curiosity, creativity, and the many different ways STEM can come alive for our youth.
